LATER IN 1883 THE 1875 BILL THAT PASSED WAS DECLARED UNCONSTITUTIONAL. WHAT FOLLOWEED WAS DECADES OF LEGALIZED RACIAL PERSECUTION AND JIM CROW LAWS.
