Carte de Visite (CdV) Photo Album. Civil War Era. Raised image of a little girl and boy holding an umbrella on the front cover. The girls face has some cloth worn off and sticking out. The clasp to hold the album shut does not work. There is no spine, or, the spine has fallen apart. Overall, the album still holds together, but is in a very fragile state. The cloth as well as the paper is discolored from age. The cloth has some stains. The first page has an oval photograph opening measuring 1 15/16" x 3 1/8". There are a total of 13 rectangular photograph openings with a rounded top measuring 1 7/8" wide. The long dimension to the corner measure 2 15/16" long. The long dimension to the tip of the rounded top measures 3 1/16" long. There appears to have been at least one page removed. Some pages are damaged. The outside dimensions of the album are 3 7/8" wide x 5 1/8" tall x 1" thick (empty).
